When a ship calls at the port of Fredericia, the crew may have a variety of different expectations as to their stay in the port. From the Seamen's Home we would like to meet such expectations in the best way possible and we wish to meet the individual seaman with the purpose of improving his quality of life during the time he spends in "our" port.
Visit to the ship:
We do our best to visit every single ship calling at the port of Fredericia. We board the ship with an invitation to the seamen to visit the Seamen's Home and at the same time we draw the attention of the individual seamen to the services we offer.
Book exchange, invitation to services in the churches in Fredericia or a service on board the ship, newspapers, magazines, outings, sports events, lists of the shops and cultural activities of Fredericia, transport by the bus of the Seamen's Home etc.
At the Seamen's Home more offers are available.
Telephone, exchange of currencies, snooker and pool, chess and other games, television, video, karaoke, the most recent newspapers and magazines etc.
If a seaman wishes to buy necessaries there is a kiosk with the most important basic articles such as toothpaste, soap, shaving kit, phone cards, socks, postcards, stamps, general stationary, sweets and souvenirs.
